INA, Ill. (June 11, 2014) – Some items just need an owner, some items need repaired, but a long list of items will be on the block at Rend Lake College’s annual obsolete equipment auction.
More than 230 items have been deemed obsolete by Rend Lake College officials and a live auction will be held to sell the items. The auction is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at the 4-H facility on the Ina campus. All proceeds will go to student scholarships through the RLC Physical Plant Department & the RLC Foundation.
Some of the big-ticket items will be a fire truck, minivan, 15-passenger mini-bus, and like-new wrestling mats. Others include dozens of computers, office supplies, furniture, and items that are either not needed, obsolete for college purposes, or broken.
No reserve prices are set for this annual auction of obsolete equipment, material and items, which will be held rain or shine. Material in this sale is either not needed, obsolete for college purposes, or damaged. Auction items will be available for viewing after 1 p.m. on the day of the sale. Any items purchased must be removed from the premises within 24 hours. Purchases may be made with cash or a check with proper identification. RLC is not responsible for accidents, loss or theft. All items will be sold as is, where is. The college will not accept return of materials, and no refunds will be made.
