INA, Ill. (Jan. 14, 2014) – The registration deadline is nearing for wine makers to attend the Wine Chemistry Workshop Feb. 15-16 through Rend Lake College’s Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA) program.
VESTA Illinois State Coordinator Candice Fitch-Deitz said registrations will be accepted until Sunday, Feb. 9. The workshop is geared toward home and commercial wine makers who are looking to refine their skills. Dr. Barry Gump, VESTA Enology Lead, will lead the workshop with activities focusing on analytical testing and the chemistry of wine making.
The event costs $150 per person, and $75 for each additional participant from the same winery. The cost of the workshop will include instruction, a light breakfast both mornings and lunch on Feb. 15.
