INA, Ill. (Oct. 17, 2013) – There is still time to register for the last SafeLandUSA training course on Nov. 2, which is offered through a joint venture by Rend Lake College’s Applied Science and Technology Department and Southeastern Illinois College. The course will be held from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Wayne City High School in Wayne City.
The training is offered by PEC, an organization accredited by SafeLandUSA to provide training and orientation for the oil and gas contractor workforce. The curriculum of the training is designed to give students information on safety issues including rigging, fall protection, hazmat, emergency response, welding safety, fire protection and many more.
Additionally, the one-day class meets both API RP 75 and API RP T-1 requirements. Over 25 of the leading oil and gas operators accept this orientation as it meets their requirements. The cost of the class is $95.
