MT. VERNON, Ill. (Sept. 26, 2013) – From accounting to word processing and more, several quick computer workshops will be held this fall at the Rend Lake College MarketPlace.
Four beginning classes will be held for Access, Word, QuickBooks and Excel. Beginning QuickBooks, a one-credit hour class, will be held from noon – 4:30 p.m. on Mondays between Oct. 7 and Oct. 28. The class will teach how to set up charts of accounts, create and print invoices, track income and more.
Beginning Word will teach the fundamentals of the program, from opening, saving and printing documents to using the spelling and grammar check. The class will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5.
For those with the need to learn how to build a database or create a table, Beginning Access is the class to take. This class will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Beginning Excel also will help students get organized by teaching the basics of spreadsheets. The class will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8. For those wanting to learn more about the program, Intermediate Excel will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 and Advanced Excel will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.
All classes are held in the RLC MarketPlace Room 338. The cost of each class is $40, with the exception of Beginning QuickBooks, which costs $80.
