INA, Ill.–Rend Lake College Community Education announces upcoming Valentine themed cooking class for kids as well as one for adults.
For the Love of Chocolate, taught by instructor Beth Mandrell, will teach participants how to prepare and present three different chocolate desserts. This class will be a combination of hands-on learning and camaraderie with fellow cooks. Participants will learn how to make chocolaty delights just in time for Valentine’s Day. The course will meet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7 on the RLC main campus in the Student Center Culinary Arts Lab. The registration fee is $10. A supply fee of $15 is payable to the instructor at the beginning of the session.
Kids in the Kitchen Valentine’s Day is a Valentine’s Day themed cooking class geared towards younger children. Participants will be making Valentine themed items to take home and enjoy. The class will meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9 on the RLC main campus in the Student Center Culinary Arts Lab. The registration fee is $10. A supply fee of $5 is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. Students must be 6+ or accompanied by an adult.
