Join the Rend Lake College Institute for Learning in Retirement this May for a day of fine American food and shopping.
The “Dining Out” series continues this semester with “Dining Out: Pioneers Cabin and More,” set for Tuesday, May 10. The day begins with a tour of Oxbow Bed and Breakfast in Pinckneyville, followed by lunch at Pioneers Cabin in Percy. The afternoon will be spent shopping at a couple of specialty stores in Pinckneyville.
Maximum enrollment is 14 for the $25 class. The group will leave the RLC Student Center at 9 a.m. and will pick up passengers at the RLC Murphy-Wall Pincknevyille Campus at 9:45 a.m.
The Institute for Learning in Retirement is an organization of retirement-age people who share a common interest in lifelong learning and cultural enrichment. No grades are given and there is no membership fee. Classes and trips are scheduled based on opinions voiced by senior adults in the community.
