THEATRE INSTRUCTOR TRACEY WEBB GRANTED TENURE
In a continuation of Tuesday’s regular Board meeting, Trustees met Thursday and granted tenure to Theatre Instructor Tracey Webb. The recommendation, which was approved unanimously by all members, was “to award tenure to faculty member Tracey Webb and to authorize the president to enter into a revised employment agreement with her regarding her compensation and other terms and conditions of employment.” Webb was hired full-time in August, 1998, as the Theatre Manager.
BENTON TRUSTEE COURTNEY COX SUBMITS RESIGNATION
Benton Attorney Courtney Cox, who was reelected to a second six-year term on theRend Lake College Board of Trustees in April, submitted his resignation at the conclusion of Thursday’s continued meeting, “effective immediately.” “I wish all of you and the college well,” he said. Fellow Trustees were reluctant to make a motion to accept his resignation but did so with regret after Cox assured them a second time of his desire to resign. Cox, a former music instructor at the college and “Alumnus of the Year,” was the top vote-getter among three unopposed candidates when he first joined the Board in 1999. He won reelection in April under similar circumstances.
