Rend Lake College recently provided a boost to the electronics program at Mt. Vernon Township High School with a donation of two servo “pick-and-place” robots. Bob Tomlin, Electronics Instructor at MVTHS, said the new robots will generate more interest in the school’s electronics program, which already receives students from several surrounding high schools. He said his students will learn how the robots work, examine the electrical signals they send and receive and also learn about the maintenance of the machines.
