It’s the grilling time of year, and the Rend Lake College Culinary Arts program is firing it up this Thursday, May 4, with your choice of grilled ribeye steak or grilled salmon.
Meals are only $8. The ribeye steak comes with a baked potato and broccoli, and the grilled salmon meal comes with rice pilaf and broccoli. Need dessert? Crème Brulee will be sold for $2.
Meals will be served between 4 and 6 p.m on a take-out basis at the kitchen in the Student Center on the Ina campus, although those who wish may stay and eat in the Student Center.
The meals will be prepared and served by students in RLC’s Restaurant Operations class, who are some of the Culinary Arts program’s most senior students.
Anyone interested is asked to call Chef Loughton Smith at (618) 437-5321, Ext. 1334, or call the Kitchen at Ext. 1254, and leave a message as to how many meals, which type and the desired pick-up time.
Reservations are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins will be served.
