Beginning in October, Rend Lake College will hold pre-entrance examinations for its nursing programs. Five exam dates have been scheduled from October to March.
Tests will be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Oct. 18 and Nov. 15, in room 102/103 of the RLC Applied Science Center. They will be also be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Dec. 20, in room 122 of the RLC Science Building; and at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Jan. 17 and March 21, at a location to be announced.
The test may be taken once per semester and students for the fall are selected in April.
In order to enroll in the Practical Nursing program, prospective students must have completed Rhetoric and Composition I with a grade of “C” or better. Prospective Associate Degree Nursing students must have completed Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Introduction to Psychology and Basic Microbiology, all with grades of “C” or better.
Each test is $25, payable on the day of the exam. A photo identification is required to test and an optional study guide is available at the Rend Lake College Textbook Rental Center for approximately $32.
