WAYNE CITY - Rend Lake College announces Community Education class offerings for Wayne City.
Kids can be creative and get messy in the kitchen in "Food Crafts!" They will learn kitchen basics while creating fun crafts using edible supplies! Most of the ingredients are common household items and will be used to make play-dough, clay, and paint. Our instructor, Laura Miller, will send recipes for future crafts, as well as the child's finished project home with them at the end of class. Students must be in first grade or older to register. Registration is $9 with an additional $3 supply fee payable to the instructor in class. The class will meet on Tuesday, Sep. 30th from 6-8 p.m. in the Wayne City High School Home Ec. Room.
Participation in "Hunter Safety" is a requirement in state statute for hunters born on or after January 1, 1980, when applying for a hunting license. Wildlife management, firearms safety, hunter ethics, game identification, first aid, survival techniques, and regulations are part of the information included in this course. The class is free and the instructor is Tom Windland. It will be held at the Wayne City Grade School Multi-Purpose room on Thursday, Oct. 30th from 5-9 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Participants must provide their date of birth when registering. Pre-registration is a requirement due to limited enrollment. Please bring both a pen and a pencil to both sessions.
