Mt. Vernon - Master your spreadsheet skills with three quick Microsoft Excel workshops offered at the RLC MarketPlace by the Rend Lake College Center for Community and Corporate Education.
This series of workshops starts with Beginning Microsoft Excel. Students will learn the fundamentals of Excel, including how to use the menu system and toolbars; how to open, reopen, print and close workbooks; and how to enter labels. The secrets to adding values and formulas and formatting spreadsheets also will be covered. Beginning Microsoft Excel will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21.
The next class in the series is Intermediate Microsoft Excel. Students can broaden their knowledge of Excel by learning how to work with large worksheets, add dramatic graphics, and how to use professional-looking templates. Other topics to be covered include how to protect workbooks, manage multiple-sheet works, create links and hyperlinks and create tables and outlines. Intermediate Microsoft Excel will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11.
The last class in the series is Advanced Microsoft Excel. This class will show students how to create PivotTables and time-saving macros, as well as how to use the Financial, Data Analysis, Auditing and other function tools. Advanced formatting and how to use the analysis tools also will be covered. Students will learn how to collaborate in Excel and how to integrate Excel with other programs. Advanced Microsoft Excel will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2.
All three workshops will be held in Room 338 at the RLC MarketPlace on Potomac Boulevard in Mt. Vernon.
