INA, Ill. - Rend Lake College hosted the Robert Earl Jones Mine Rescue Competition for the fourth-straight year yesterday on the south side of the main campus in Ina.
More than a dozen mine rescue teams from the tri-state area competed on the course. American Coal's Galatia Mine finished the course with the fastest time and took home first place. Runner-up honors went to Gibson County Coal's Team Rhino.
