Turn Your Thumb Green with RLC

INA, Ill.—Rend Lake College is offering a class on gardening called Turn Your Thumb Green.

RLC Horticulture instructor Candy Fitch-Deitz will teach participants the basics for caring for indoor as well as outdoor plants. This class will show participants everything from propagation techniques to caring for mature plants. Topics will also include how to troubleshoot plant problems such as yellowing, insect problems, nutrition, and proper growing media. Participants will work hands-on and will take a plant home. The class will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, March 9 in the RLC Greenhouse on the main campus in Ina. The registration fee is $12.
