INA, Ill. (Feb. 11, 2020) — Dive into a visual world of fantasy this month as acclaimed artist Eric Velhagen showcases his work in the RLC Theatre.

Velhagen’s fantasy illustrations are now on display in the Rend Lake College Theatre Lobby and the exhibit will be on the Ina Campus until Friday, March 6. Velhagen will also be on campus to give a live demo at noon Tuesday, March 3 in the Learning Resource Center Art Studio, Room 103. Additionally, he will be a judge at Rend Lake College’s annual Student Art Show.

A fixture in the fantasy artwork community, Velhagen was recently chosen as the artist for the 2018 “Game of Thrones” calendar illustrations. The Albuquerque resident has appeared in a number of publications and has presented at numerous galleries and conventions, including IlluXCon, Spectrum Fantastic Art Live!, Albuquerque Comic-Con and FantasyCon. His paintings “Fantasy Feast” and “Felines” were both nominated for Chesley Awards.
