INA, Ill. (Jan. 27, 2020) — See all the aquatic life St. Louis has to offer this spring through a bus trip organized by Rend Lake College.
RLC’s Institute of Lifelong Learning Day Tours is heading to the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station where guests can see the various freshwater and marine life on display in addition to various other attractions in The Gateway to the West.
The aquarium is the first stop on the agenda. Then, lunch will be served at Landry’s Seafood with the choice of Landry’s Gold Burger, Lemon Pepper Tilapia or IPA Fish and Chips.
After lunch, the tour heads to The St. Louis Wheel where guests can ride fully-enclosed, climate-controlled gondolas high above the St. Louis skyline. The gondolas seat up to six people and the ride lasts about 15 minutes (or 3-4 rotations).
And the final leg of the trip heads to the new Mighty Mississippi exhibit at the Missouri History Museum. There, tour participants can see the history of the middle Mississippi River watershed as revealed through a diverse range of stories and artifacts from the river and its tributaries.
The bus departs at 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 24 from the RLC Clocktower on the Ina Campus and returns at 6:30 p.m. Pickups in Mt. Vernon will be available at 8 a.m. from the RLC MarketPlace with the bus returning at 6 p.m. The cost of the trip is $155 and includes tour fees, lunch, gratuity and transportation.
