RLC ANNOUNCES 2019 HOMECOMING COURT

INA, Ill. (Feb. 11, 2019) – Celebrate Homecoming with the Rend Lake College Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams next week in a matchup against local rival Southeastern Illinois College on Wednesday, Feb. 20.

This year’s court is made up of six candidates for queen and six for king. RLC students can cast votes from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Feb. 13 and 14 in the Student Center. Students must be enrolled in at least one credit hour in the spring and have an ID to place a vote.

Up for queen are Kaitlyn Brunkhorst (Chester) of the Culinary Arts Club; Taylor Frank (Valier) representing the Thespian Troupe; and Taylor Hazel (Murphysboro) representing the Softball team.

Contestants for king are Derrick Davis (Marion) of the Culinary Arts Club; Parker Robbins (Benton) representing the Thespian Troupe; and Darick Hayes (Mt. Vernon) representing the Baseball team.

The Warriors and Lady Warriors will host local rival Southeastern Illinois College for Homecoming. The women’s game will tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 7:30 p.m. Coronation will take place during halftime of the men’s game.
