Coordinator--Institutional Research & Analysis (Full-Time)

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time professional INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH & ANALYSIS COORDINATOR. This individual will prepare and submit required ICCB, IPEDS, enrollment, accreditation, institutional, and state and federal reports. The position requires extracting and analyzing data from the ERP system (Ellucian's PowerCampus) to maintain accuracy and validity of student information system; serving as IPEDS key holder; consulting with college administration, faculty and staff in use and distribution of information and data analysis; developing and maintaining dashboard information supplying demographics, curriculum, enrollment, grade distribution to appropriate departments. The position requires conducting research and working with appropriate IT staff as well as other departments to enhance and automate the functions and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.  Working with Project Manager and Institutional Compliance to assistant with Institutional Research and Analysis and the production of the annual Fact Book are also key functions.  The ability to effectively work with data in compilation of reports, to  create and interpret surveys, and to conduct trend analysis are vital to the success of this position. // Fulltime, nontenure-track position.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Statistical experience and/or coursework a plus
  • Experience with higher education and related ERP's a plus

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Business Office Specialist. This individual will: Prepare, enter and maintain journal entries for the college.  Assist with preparation for audits of college financial records.  Prepare and reconcile daily deposits and assigned bank accounts.  Prepare and submit monthly sales tax.  Post student billing charges and credits to the general ledger; verify receipt payments, balance the Business Office cash drawer and prepare receipt totals.  Process financial aid files and assist with payroll processing as needed.  Provide and maintain coverage to the Accounts Receivable Specialist during periods of absence, breaks in coverage and periods of peak activity.  Maintain records related to unclaimed property held by the college and perform the necessary reporting associated with those records.  Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Business Office information. Maintain a courteous and friendly attitude with employees, students and outside agencies when performing job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate Degree from an accredited institution required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Work experience as accountant, bookkeeper, teller or related position
  • Well-developed organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

This individual will maintain a clean/sanitized work area including seating area, preparation areas, and equipment as needed; provide product description to patrons; assist in student worker training and supervision; maintain and/or ability to obtain Department of Public Health Food Sanitation License; follow all requirements and regulations as defined by the Department of Public Health and Food Sanitation; operate cash register and process patron payments; complete closeout of cash register, as needed; maintain coffee shop equipment and supplies necessary for the function of the coffee shop and provide support for campus events.  Coffee shops are located on the main RLC Ina campus and RLC Marketplace Mt. QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • IL Food Handler Certification or the ability to obtain.
  • Good communication skills. Customer service skills required.
  • Sales background preferred.
