If you are detailed oriented and like to multi-task while helping those in need, Rend Lake College has the program for you.
The last information meeting will be held on:
- May 17, noon- 1 p.m., ATC 202
The Bureau of Labor Statistics has projected the employment of medical assistants to grow 18 percent over the next decade, much faster than the average of all other occupations.
There are two ways to get started in this in-demand career at Rend Lake College. The RLC Medical Assistant program offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree and an occupational certificate in the specialty.
The program is perfect for those who are interested in health care. Medical assistants take on several duties, such as taking and recording patient histories, scheduling appointments, preparing specimens for laboratory tests, helping doctors with examinations and many more.
Anyone interested in attending the Zoom meetings can contact Dr. Nina Goloubeva at [email protected] for the meeting information.
