Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Status: PRN (as needed)
Shift: PRN (as needed) – Typically day shift
Position Purpose: Operates ultrasonography equipment to produce diagnostic images of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety.
- Provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound & related diagnostic procedures
- Procedures completed at this facility include: abdominal ultrasound, pelvic/transvaginal ultrasound, breast ultrasound, invasive procedures, OB/GYN ultrasound, vascular ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and testicular ultrasounds.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients.
- Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area.
Requirements: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
Preferred Requirements: State Licensure - IEMA, ARRT Licensure and CPR certification
