Rend Lake College seeks a full-time ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF THE RLC FOUNDATION. This individual will act as first-line representative and liaison for the Foundation CEO to all internal and external constituents; manage and coordinate the Student Scholarship Program by ensuring compliance with scholarship criteria and Foundation policies, including that of scholarship applications and announcements with district high school guidance counselors, donors and recipients, scholarship selection processes with the selection committee, payment records by donors, correspondence with donors and scholarship recipients, and contact with scholarship recipients to ensure compliance with scholarship requirements; compose and assist with distribution of correspondence with donors and constituents concerning scholarships, solicitations, special event mailings and other development activities; create and manage up-to-date Foundation marketing and promotional meterials including the RLCF website and social media; coordinate and execute all Foundation special events; coordinate alumni communication and cultivation; assist with coordination of Foundation Board of Directors meetings; compile departmental reports; and other duties as assigned. // Full-time, nontenure-track position.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Human Services, or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Experience in fund development, office management, and event planning preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects on a regular basis, and be a self-starter.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to be creative, flexible, and effectively engage with students and donors required.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge, PowerCAMPUS, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.

This individual will assist in the daily operation of the campus writing center, tutor students in reading and writing as they present themselves, conduct study sessions and monitor use of the center, maintain attendance reports, assist the English and College Preparatory departments in planning and leading topical workshops and discussion groups for students, and other duties as assigned. // Part-time position, up to 24 hours per week during regular semesters.
