MEN'S BASKETBALL: Despite comeback, Warriors lose to Shawnee

(BRIEF) ULLIN, Ill. - Rend Lake College fought back from a 20-point deficit to get within five points of Shawnee Community College, Monday night, in Ullin, Ill. However, the Warriors were unable to get any closer as their record fell to 2-4 in a 75-64 loss to the undefeated, 4-0 Saints.

"We got dominated in every facet of the game during the first 26 minutes," said RLC Head Coach Tim Wills. "We are going to have to learn how to play much harder for longer periods of time if we expect to win games against our schedule. We have only played one decent half per game thus far. We have to find a way to get better."

RLC sophomore forward EJ Randolph (Mt. Vernon) led all scorers with 17 after hitting six field goals and going 5-for-8 from the line. Point guards Reggie Reed (St. Petersburg, Fla.) and Jimmy Abraham (Katy, Texas) pitched in 13 and 11, respectively, and shooting guard Sotiris Psyrris (Athens, Greece) put up 10 with two three-pointers.

Rend Lake will take on Lincoln College at 7 p.m., Thursday night, in Lincoln, Ill. For all things athletic at RLC, visit online at www.rlc.edu/warriors.
