INA, Ill.— Rend Lake College Community and Corporate Education will be offering two continuing education courses this spring semester for Healthcare Professionals.
Mammography: Pink Ribbons Tied with Hope is a class in which participants will learn the truth about breast cancer in young women and how breast cancer treatment plans are determined. Instructor Kit Haake will covers such topics as positioning in the real world, continuing with expert image critique, and positioning beyond the CC and MLO views. This course is 8 hours ASRT Category A. This class will meet from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Saturday, March 2 at RLC’s main campus, Advanced Technology Building, Room 118. The registration fee is $119 and must be paid by February 16. Make checks payable to A.H.E.C.
TNCC or Trauma Nursing Core Course is a course developed and implemented by ENA for national and international dissemination as a means of identifying a standardized body of trauma nursing knowledge. TNCC is a 16-hour course designed to provide the learner with cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills and may be officially attended by RN’s with at least 6 months of clinical nursing experience in an emergency care setting. This class meets from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23 and 24 at the Mt. Vernon Marketplace in Room 221. The registration fee is $250 for students who need a TNCC book and $200 for students who do not.
