DISCOVER GRANT WRITING SKILLS AT RLC
INA, Ill. - Rend Lake College Community and Corporate Education is offering two unique one-day classes on Grant Writing.
Grant Writing 101 will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, February 10. This class is an introductory course to basic grant writing. Participants will learn to speak the language, identify potential funding sources, understand the different types of proposals, understand the proposal process, identify the basic elements of a proposal, develop a budget, and learn how to avoid common mistakes.
Grant Writing 102 will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, February 11. This class is an advanced course that builds upon the foundation laid by Grant Writing 101. Students will learn more grant terminology, learn where to find grant opportunities, review program announcements, develop a problem statement/needs assessment, write goals and objectives, and develop complex budgets. A sample proposal, Memorandum of Understanding, etc. will be reviewed. Proposal critiques will be provided upon request.
The registration fee is $45 per class session. The classes will be held at Rend Lake College in Room 118 of the Advanced Technology building with Instructor Amber Floyd.
