People of all ages are invited to sign up for two credit classes offered by Rend Lake College at Wayne City High School this summer.
Traditional and non-traditional students are welcome. Tuition will be waived for current high school students. RLC’s Wayne City Community Coordinator will be on site on the first days of class for walk-on registration, and the required textbooks will be available for rental.
Textbooks can be rented for $47 each, of which $20 is a deposit which will be refunded to the student when the textbook is returned in good condition.
Available this summer will be:
• American History II (HIST 2102-64) – 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday / Thursday from June 7 through July 28, three credit hours. This is a survey course from the Civil War to the present. Political, economic, social and diplomatic applications are made.
• Contemporary College Mathematics (MATH 1107-64) – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday / Wednesday from June 6 through July 27, three credit hours. Topics covered in this class will include set / logic, graph theory, probability and statistics, geometry, logic and others.
Both classes will be held in the Home Economics Room at Wayne City High School.
