Discover how to put your memories into words with “Writing Your Life Your Way,” led by Dr. Evelyn Claxton, a retired English / Journalism instructor and Arts and Communications Department Chair at Rend Lake College.
Everyone has the ability to write his or her life story, and it is a worthwhile endeavor to make it part of a daily routine. This is an informal class which is stress free – no grammatical changes, no spelling corrections and no grades! It will provide an opportunity for people to get started writing their memories, exercising their minds and leaving legacies to their families.
Dr. Claxton was honored last year with the “Outstanding Instructor Award“ by the statewide Lifelong Learning and Service Program organization comprised of both two- and four-year institutions.
The class will be held in two sessions, from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, March 6, and Thursday, March 8, in Advanced Technology Center Room 156 on the Ina campus and is being organized by RLC’s Institute for Learning in Retirement. The class costs $15.
