Add a little zip to your dinner Thursday, April 27, with a zesty selection of sausage meals from Rend Lake College’s Culinary Arts program.
Diners can choose from Italian Sausage with red and green peppers, bratwurst with red pickled cabbage and spetzle, or polish sausage with sauerkraut and potato dumplings. Meals are just $8 and will come with glazed carrots. Drinks will be available for $1.
Meals will be served between 4 and 6 p.m on a take-out basis at the kitchen in the Student Center on the Ina campus, although those who wish may stay and eat in the Student Center.
The meals will be prepared and served by students in RLC’s Restaurant Operations class, who are some of the Culinary Arts program’s most senior students.
Anyone interested is asked to call Chef Loughton Smith at (618) 437-5321, Ext. 1334, or call the Kitchen at Ext. 1254, and leave a message as to how many meals, which type and the desired pick-up time. The meals will be served at the kitchen entrance in the Student Center between 4 and 6 p.m.
Reservations are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins will be served.
