MT. VERNON – Those looking for new ways to feed their festive spirit this holiday season don’t want to miss the Holiday Sampler coming soon to the Rend Lake College MarketPlace.
The holiday attraction offered by the Community Education program at RLC is the Holiday Sampler from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Rend Lake College MarketPlace.
The third annual sampler features six, 50-minute workshops on how to put a holiday spin on crafts, cooking and much more.
Scrapbooking for the Holidays is at 10 a.m., with Rachel Southerd, in room 354B. The 11 a.m. class is on Holiday hair and makeup with the Studio RLC Design Team. That is followed by a lunch break. Lunch will not be provided.
At 1 p.m. is Holiday Bracelets led by representatives of Wind Song Beads. It precedes the 2 p.m. class taught by Jeannie Mitchell-Collins on quick and easy recipes for the holiday season, followed by Holiday Stamping with Phyllis Garner at 3 p.m.
A $3 registration fee is required for each class and is mailed in with the registration form. Also, a $5 fee, which goes directly to the instructor, is needed for the cooking, scrapbooking and stamping classes and $5-$12 is required for the class on holiday bracelets. There is no fee for the holiday hair and makeup tips through the Studio RLC Design Team.
