INA - IN CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY WEEK, REND LAKE COLLEGE IS HOSTING AN OPEN HOUSE TO OFFICIALLY INTRODUCE THE PUBLIC AND PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS TO ITS NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.
The event will take place from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the southwest wing of the Advanced Technology Center on the RLC Main Campus in Ina.
The open house is a chance to visit classrooms and labs, view simulations with cutting-edge equipment, meet the staff and faculty of Rad Tech at RLC, and get answers to any questions about the new program. Those who attend will also learn about the program and how to apply.
"What better time to do this than during National Radiologic Technology Week?" said RLC Rad Tech Director Kim Robert.
Radiologic Technology is in its first semester at RLC. It was created to serve demand for a quality program to train technologists for this area and beyond. More than 80 individuals applied for a slot in the inaugural class. Of those, 20 were accepted into the program.
The public is invited to attend the open house and students interested in a rewarding career as a radiologic technologist are strongly encouraged to come by and see what RLC has to offer in the field of radiologic technology.
National Radiologic Technology Week was created by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists in 1979 and is a registered trademark of ASRT. This year’s theme for the national celebration is “The Guiding Vision in Medicine.” More information about the profession, the celebration and the Society can be found at www.asrt.org.
