Rend Lake College employee Lori Ragland wears three hats, at the very least. More importantly, "She maintains a positive attitude while balancing the three ‘hats’ of wife, mother and employee," according to her fan club.
For that reason and more, the Assistant Director of the Rend Lake College Foundation was honored recently at the annual Board-Faculty-Staff Dinner as one of two recipients of the "Outstanding Staff Award."
The Sesser resident was nominated by three of her peers. Ragland, they noted, has worked for the RLC Foundation for approximately three years.
"She is very organized and takes great pride in her work. In her position, Lori occasionally has to work after hours and on weekends.
"Lori is always willing to help in any situation she can. Lori is a good representative for Rend Lake College and the RLC Foundation. She has a professional appearance and a demeanor that is pleasing to everyone."
As the recently promoted Assistant Director for the RLC Foundation, Ragland coordinates the popular Institute for Learning in Retirement program which provides educational and cultural opportunities for senior adult learners. She also assists RLC Foundation CEO Pat Mitchell in most other operations of the not-for-profit fund-raising group.
The Raglands - Lori and husband, Chuck, plus RLCF Children’s Center student Chase - live in Sesser. In her spare time, the award-winner enjoys scrapbooking and shopping.
