We now have access to an amazing world of new technology and information through the Internet. Our children have opportunities and access to information that was unimaginable in previous generations. As with any technological advance, this provides great benefits, but parents must also be aware of the potential dangers. Online safety and protection from Internet predators are critical issues that all parents must address to keep their children safe. Adam Powell, our instructor, will give parents information on what to look for and how to protect their children from Internet predators. Parents will not want to miss "Kids First Online Predators & Safety." This class will meet one time only on Tuesday, March 10 from 6-9p.m. in the Benton Community High School library. The registration fee is $12.
Computers and Internet access have opened many doors to information and opportunities in our homes, schools, and workplaces. This new technology is a wonderful thing. Our instructor, Adam Powell, will provide parents with information on how to secure their computer with software to protect children from inappropriate material. Antivirus and other PC protection options will also be covered. Don't miss "Kids First Securing Your Computer." This class will be held one time only on Tuesday, March 24 from 6-9p.m. in the Benton Community High School Computer Lab. Registration fee is $12.
