INA, Ill. - Rend Lake College Community Education is offering three ACT Prep classes for area high school juniors and seniors. The ACT Prep class is designed to teach the reading, English, science and math skills needed to do well on the ACT test. Test-taking skills are also emphasized. The classes will be offered in Pinckneyville, Mt. Vernon, and Christopher.
In Pinckneyville, Andrea Banach will instruct the ACT Prep class. It will be held on Saturdays, February 20th -March 27th from 9a.m. to Noon. The class is scheduled to be held at the RLC Murphy-Wall campus in Pinckneyville in Room 102. The class will meet for five sessions. There will be no class on March 13. The registration fee is $75.
In Mt. Vernon, the class will be instructed by Bonnie Payne and Cindy Birkner. It will be held on Saturdays, February 27th-April 3rd from 9a.m. to Noon. The class will be at the RLC Marketplace in Mt. Vernon in Room 203. The class will meet for six sessions and the registration fee is $89.
In Christopher, Jennifer Lemons will instruct the class. It will be held on Thursdays, March 4th-April 1st from 6p.m. to 9p.m. at Christopher High School in Room 4. The class will meet for five sessions and the registration fee is $75.
Students taking ACT Prep at all three locations need to purchase a Barron's ACT 2009 text. This book will be available at the first class for $20.27.
