MT. VERNON, Ill. - Rend Lake College Community Education is offering an upcoming one-day quick computer workshop on Microsoft Word. Beginning Microsoft Word is a course developed to help people learn the fundamentals of word processing using Microsoft Word.
Quick computer workshops are convenient classes offered through Community Education. They are designed for people in the community who are interested in learning about the ever changing computer software applications. These classes offer people the chance to take a one or three day class. They are quick, convenient and help meet the educational and personal development needs of the people and businesses in our community.
In Beginning Microsoft Word, students will discover how to use the menu system and toolbars. Participants will learn how to open, reopen, print, save and close documents. They will also learn how to insert and delete text, reverse an edit operation, apply font attributes to text and move text blocks. Students will also learn how to utilize Spelling/Grammar Checker, Thesaurus, the Help menu, and how to customize the AutoCorrect dictionary. This course will be held on Thursday, March 25th from 8a.m.-4p.m. in the computer lab at the RLC Marketplace in Mt. Vernon.
