INA, Ill. – The Illinois College Exposition Fair at Rend Lake College is a student’s best way to compare more than 40 universities, all in one night and from one convenient location. The ICE Fair, Sept. 21, is where students and parents can get their questions answered by a live representative from universities in Illinois and across the country.
More than 40 colleges and universities from across the country will be recruiting at the ICE Fair from 6 - 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, in the RLC Gym. The fair is free to attend and is sponsored by the Illinois Association of College Admission Counseling (IACAC).
Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the ICE Fair alongside the students. Typical topics a visitor likes to cover with university representatives include programs, majors, about the institution, affordability, distance from home, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, admission requirements, and deadlines.
“The purpose of the ICE fair is to create an opportunity for area students, both high school and community college, to speak to several state and private universities regarding the continuing of their education,” explained RLC Recruiter Jason Swann. “It is a wonderful opportunity to meet, question and receive information from colleges that students may be interested in attending.”
The ICE Fair will be packed with information about schools.
