INA, Ill. - Rend Lake College is holding a two day workshop on Event Security Planning. This workshop is designed to educate small and rural community public safety personnel, as well as local officials, regarding security concerns and considerations involved with planning any event.
Participants will learn how to recognize and plan adequate strategies and security measures to prevent or mitigate security incidents which may occur during scheduled events.
Event Security Planning will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday, December 9 and 10, in room 122 of the Science Building. The registration fee is $10.
This course is in cooperation with Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium for public safety professionals who have a working knowledge of the National Incident Management System and Incident Command System, and who have completed Introduction to NIMS ( IS-700).
