INA, Ill.-Rend Lake College reveals two upcoming quick computer workshop classes designed to address the unique needs of the community: QuickBooks for Farmers and Beginning Adobe InDesign.
Quick computer workshops are convenient classes offered through Community Education. They are designed for people in the community who are interested in learning about computer software applications. These classes offer people the chance to take a one or three day class. They are quick, convenient and help meet the educational and personal development needs of the people and businesses in our community.
QuickBooks for Farmers will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Wednesdays, Jan. 19-26n in room 338 of the RLC MarketPlace in Mount Vernon. The registration fee is $82.50. This course will focus on how to use QuickBooks to run a farm business more efficiently. Participants will receive hands-on practice using the features that are sure to be needed on a regular basis.
The class will cover how to set up a chart of accounts, reconcile checking accounts, create and print invoices, receipts and statements, track payables, inventory, receivables, and generate reports.
Beginning Adobe InDesign will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 22 in Vocational Building Room 104 of the RLC Main campus in Ina. The registration fee is $82.50. Participants will discover the fun of using this software and learn the fundamental operations of print layout and design.
The course will cover how to manage the InDesign environment, how to add tables and become skilled at designing, enhancing, and finalizing documents. Students are asked to bring a flash drive to class.
