The Rend Lake College Cultural Arts Committee is dedicated to enhancing the cultural awareness of the community which it serves. The primary focus of the Committee is to bring cultural events to area students at little or no costs. This includes not only students of Rend Lake College, but local K-12 students as well. The general public is always welcome as seating allows.

While theater arts have been recently featured, the vision of the Cultural Arts Committee is to include writers, musicians, dancers, and ethnic, folk, media, visual, and interdisciplinary artists. Funding for these performances comes from donations, grants, and matching funds from the Southern Illinois Cultural Arts Society and the Illinois Arts Council.
