Pop-Up Blockers & Blackboard

Some pop-up blocker software may cause portions of RLC Blackboard to not work properly. Included in this are tests and collaboration sessions (chat).

Examples of pop-up blocking software vary by browser. For Internet Explorer for Windows, the Google, MSN, and Yahoo! toolbars all contain pop-up blocking software. Built-in pop-up blockers in other browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, may also block users from taking tests and/or participating in chat sessions.

To disable the pop-up blocker add the site "bb.rlc.edu" to the allowed sites (sometimes called exceptions) in your pop-up blocking software. For users of Internet Explorer, the add-on toolbars usually have an allow button, click this button at the Blackboard login page to allow pop-ups from bb.rlc.edu.
