The Institute of Lifelong Learning is an organization of retirement-age people who share a common interest in lifelong learning and cultural enrichment. No grades are given, and there is no membership fee. Classes and trips are scheduled based on opinions voiced by senior adults in the community.

RLC wins state-wide honors for Lifelong Learning- Rend Lake College’s Institute of Lifelong Learning grabs top honors for their teaching staff for the third year running. RLC has captured the Lifelong Learning and Service Coalition Awards number one spot for their instructional nomination and the number two spot with their Brochure/Flyer entry.
