Special Admissions Requirements – Emergency Medical-Paramedical Services

1. Submit proof of current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic.

2. Pass the pre-entrance tests administered by the Regional EMS coordinator.

3. Submit a completed Rend Lake College application form.

4. Demonstrate math competency or enroll in a math course selected by the Division Chair.

5. Provide copy of a physical exam, health screenings and immunizations as required by clinical facilities.

6. Submit to and pass a background check.

7. Provide proof of current health insurance.

8. Successfully pass a test dealing with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

9. Accept provisions of the Rend Lake College Allied Health Division’s Substance Abuse Policy.
