ESL: English as a Second Language

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)

English literacy classes are offered to assist individuals whose primary language is not English. The classes cover oral and written English language instruction for adults.

English as a Second Language classes include:

• Speaking and pronunciation drills
• Communication and listening skills
• Reading exercises
• Writing and vocabulary

ESL classes are currently offered at the Rend Lake College MarketPlace in Mt. Veron and on an as-needed basis throughout the RLC district.

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes have open registration. A student can enter and exit classes throughout the semester.
