Wireless Communications is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. New devices are being produced every day. Additional frequencies have been allocated by the federal government and FCC to increase the capability and use of these new devices in the United States.
Companies like First Cellular, Verizon,
T-Mobile, Cingular, Sprint, Lucent, Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson and Nortel are striving to meet the needs for the demand of equipment and technical personnel to build, support and maintain these systems world wide.
The job market is expanding and offering excellent opportunities for technical positions within the field. Some of the jobs may be related to cellular telephones; cellular site engineering; Personal Communications Services (PCS) digital devices; data, voice and video transmission; and broadband wireless Internet network communications systems.
