The length of the class will depend on how prepared you are. Please remember that the criteria for recertification include: 1. Having taught 4 classes in the two year period since your last recert a. Please bring copies of the class rosters for which you are using to recert. I don’t have enough classes on file for most of you. 2. If recerting as a First Aid Instructor, two of the four classes listed above must have been first aid classes. a. Same deal as above, bring rosters. 3. I must have an Instructor monitor form on file for the period since your last recert. a. Same deal as above. I have only a few of these on file. Let me know and I’ll mail you a blank if you need one. 4. You must attend a recert (have to view 25 minutes of AHA propaganda) and a. Successfully complete a written exam with an 84% or better b. Successfully perform all of the skills taught within your discipline i. That means adult and child one and two man CPR, obstructed airway conscious and unconscious, use of the AED, and infant sequences including one and two man CPR, obstructed airway conscious and unconscious Note: Please remember that I do not believe in a stress level any higher than that which is required to sustain life. This will be cake. |
